God loves you - John 3:16 and more For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35, 37-39 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 1 John 4:9-11 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:9-10, 12-16 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 1 John 3:1 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. 1 John 4:18-19 The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3 Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever. Psalm 136:26 NIV There may not be many verses that say God loves us. But that does not mean his love us is not great. His love for us is so great. He sent his son to die for us. You can find the story of Jesus on: https://the-sunshining.github.io/SunBible/TheLifeofJesusMinistry/. Prayer Prayer is not mentioned as a piece of armor in our war against Satan. And I guess it is not. But yet it is vital for our victory. Praying is something we should do. And do often. Or to put it another way, we should pray with ceasing(1 Thessalonians 5:17). What is prayer? Prayer is talking to God. We should talk to God often. How does God talk to us? Through His word, the Bible. That's why we should also read the Bible a lot. I don't know who you are, and if you have been reading my series of blog posts on spiritual warfare. Prayer verses: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Ephesians 6:18 Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Matthew 6:5-13 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Luke 18:1-14 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Matthew 21:22 He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer. Psalms 102:17 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Romans 12:12 Brethren, pray for us. 1 Thessalonians 5:25 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. Luke 6:28 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. Luke 22:46 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. James 5:13-1 We think about those things which we hear and see. So no matter how good our helmet of salvation is. If we are not protecting our ears and eyes the helmet of salvation won't do much good. Here are some great verses: And take the helmet of salvation.
I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid? Job 31:1 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way. Psalms 119:37 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. Psalms 101:3 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Proverbs 4:25 My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways. Proverbs 23:26 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Proverbs 2:2 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. Proverbs 28:9 Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge. Proverbs 23:12 A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue. Proverbs 17:4 Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge. Proverbs 22:17 I did a search through proverbs and found these amazing verses with the words:
"The fear of the Lord". The fear of the Lord prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened. Proverbs 10:27 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord , and find the knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:5 The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility. Proverbs 15:33 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord : Proverbs 1:29 Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith. Proverbs 15:16 By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life. Proverbs 22:4 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. Proverbs 14:27 In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. Proverbs 14:26 Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long. Proverbs 23:17 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil. Proverbs 16:6 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the Lord tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil. Proverbs 19:23 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord , and depart from evil. I am not done with it yet, but this morning I read the first chapter of psalm. I reall like that psalm. A few years ago i wrote a book on the book of psalm(Not yet published.) Every time I read a chapter from psalm I get somthing differnt from it. Below are 2 pieces of writing on Psalm 1. One of the writings I did today, the other I did a few years ago.
Psalm 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. I highly recommen that you visit my Bible website. Where you can read the whole Bible (KJV). And where you can find lots of notes by me, and I am constantly adding more notes. Currently adding notes to the book of Psalm and Job.
sunbible.000webhostapp.com/ "Good people go to hell, Bad people go to heaven."
Why is that? Most people who consider themselves good are too proud to repent of their sins. The Bible says all have sinned(Romans 3:23), there is no such thing as a good person hell. I am not really a professional on how to get to heaven. Because only God knows how to get to heaven. But I can tell you a few things about how to get to heaven. First I want to ask you why you want to get to heaven. Why do you want to go to heaven? Is it because you love God? Because let me tell you something, if you don't love God you ain't going to want to spend eternity with him. Heaven is where God is. Hell is where God is not. If you think you are such a good person and that you don't need God in this present life. And indeed if you spend your entire life without spending any time with God. Then what makes you think that you would want to spend any time with God, in eternity. "O, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God." - Cory Asbury God loves you with an overwhelming never-ending love. He loves you no matter who you are, no matter what you have done. You may be the worst of sinners but still, God loves you. And he desires that same love from you. God doesn't force you to love him. And he certainly doesn't force you to spend eternity with him. The choice is up to you. If you love God, you are going to want to try and please him. And you would also want to spend an eternity with God. "Good people go to hell, Bad people go to heaven." Why is that? If the above has not answered your question yet, maybe this verse will help. "Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little." Luke 7:47 To read this verse in context click here: https://lifeofjesus.000webhostapp.com/Luke.html ------ I have collected all the verses in the Bible on how to get to heaven and put them on my website: https://howtogettoheaven.000webhostapp.com Who God Really is
(Some of His Characteristics) "What would Jesus do?" was a question made popular by Charles Sheldon and his book titled "In His Steps". To do what Jesus would do, one must know what he was like, and how he acted. It is also important to have knowledge of the Characteristics of God if we wish to have victory in spiritual warfare. So let's get started. Who really is God? 1. God is Love. 1 John 4:8 - He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.2. God is Caring. 1 Peter 5:7 - Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.3. God is Good. Mark 10:18 - And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.4. God is Perfect. Matthew 5:48 - Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. 5. God is Holy. 1 Peter 1:15-16 - But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.6. God is Righteous. 1 John 2:29 - If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.7. God is all-powerful. Matthew 19:26 - But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. 8. God is all-knowing. 9. God is all-present. 10. God is Kind. Titus 3:4-6 - But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour. 11. God is Eternal. Psalm 90:2 - Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. More Verses: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 KJV To find out more about the life of Jesus and the life he lived I encourage to read the 4 gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. To read about the life of Jesus visit: https://lifeofjesus.000webhostapp.com/ Also to find out more about God, I encourage you to read the entire Bible. Also search social media for #whogodreallyis for more. A Time To Fast When is the last time you fasted? Fasting is something we as Christians should do once in awhile. But it is hardly ever done. I know that I hardly ever do it. The bible gives us instruction on how to fast. But it does not tell us when to fast. Choosing a time to fast is our responsibility. I encourage you to choose a time to fast. Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. Matthew 6:16-18 KJV To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted. A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing. A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away. A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak. A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 Do SomethingDoing nice things takes action. EnjoymentPeople tend to enjoy doing what they do not have to do. It is because the reason they are doing it is not because they have to, but because they want to and enjoy doing it. Verses about being good1 Peter 3:11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
