TCKs for Christ is officially launching on September 4th, 2021! What is TCKs for Christ? TCKs for Christ is a website ministry that strives to serve, encourage, and challenge teenage Christian third culture kids and young adult TCKs. These include missionary kids, business kids, cross-cultural kids, mixed-cultural kids, diplomat kids, etc. The TCK life has its struggles and challenges, and TCKs for Christ desires to encourage a TCK in truth and to tell them that they are not alone and there’s Someone who cares more than they can ever know. The TCKs for Christ team consists of TCKs writing for young TCKs to motivate them to use their gifts for His kingdom and to live victoriously with a firm identity in Jesus Christ. Who are TCKs? Third Culture Kids or TCKs are people who have lived in a culture other than their parents’ or their passport/birth country’s culture during their developmental years or years before adulthood. Because of their exposure to two or more cultures, a “third culture” is formed and incorporates the cultures TCKs have significantly interacted with. Thus, a TCK’s cultural behavior is not restricted to only one. Does TCKs for Christ have an Email List? Yes, they do! Upon signing up, you will receive exclusive content of one TCK letter and one newsletter per month in your inbox. The TCK Letters convey heartfelt experiences through words, in which a few of our writers talk about the struggles and triumphs of their TCK life. The Monthly Newsletter is a fun, convenient summary of new articles and interviews published on our website for the month. Interested? Hit subscribe. May I Read an Excerpt from TCKs for Christ? Absolutely! Here is an excerpt from one of their articles: The Identity of Home by Elisha McFarland. Have you ever struggled with the idea of “home”? I know I have. As TCKs, we often battle this relentless onslaught of insecurity about our legitimate home. Throughout my entire life, the only insecurity I battled was found within a question: Where is home? Do I have several, or none at all? What qualifies as a home? ... Questioning Home is a Difficult Insecurity It bites deep, leaving us vulnerable and depressed. To make matters worse, this malady is not physical; it cannot be cured by drugs or remedies. This malady is of the spirit, and so we must turn to the One who created our spirit. This answer was first given to me at TCK Camp Uganda 2016. The time spent in this camp was world-rocking. Sermons were preached, hearts were changed … and homes were found. … Read more of this article in TCKs for Christ. Where Could I Connect with Them? Their social media handle is @TCKsforChrist. Connect with them through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. Thanks so much for stoping by my blog! Have a great day!
I didn't want two posts about TCK's to be right next to each other. That is why I posted this video here today. I know I have not been very active on my blog. But I have a few blog posts coming out soon! Also if you have not subscribed to my youtube channel. What are you waiting for? Hi. It’s me NCR here.
A few weeks ago when I was kayaking, I felt like I was missing a helmet. And the other day when I was driving my car I wished I could take my hands off the steering wheel like I do when I drive a bike. (Also my feet are a little heavy on the pedal!) The last few weeks, I have been doing quite a lot of bike riding. For some reason, I thought it would be fun to practice driving without hands. I suddenly find myself very good at it. (I feel like a show-off when I do this in front of people, but seriously, I am not trying to show-oof. Ok, maybe I am just a wee bit.) A few years ago I was observing people at a Ski hill. I saw people who were awkward at skiing, and some that were pros at it. (It was really enjoyable to observe people on the hill, I can’t think of any main take-ways from the experience.) I have a little bit of a negative side that comes through, whenever I see people trying/learning something new and difficult. I am like why haven’t they given up already? But that is the wrong attitude. Like it really is. And I feel for those who have given up. I am making this video to encourage you to not give up. I don’t know who you are… I don’t know what you are going through… I don’t know what God is calling you to… But I know that with Christ you can do anything and go through anything! And that is it. I just want to encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus. And don’t give up! Hi, it me NCR here again. Today I am taking part in a blog tour for "Truth4TCKs 2021 Conference". Truth4TCKs Conference is an online conference for Christian third culture kids! But first, who are third culture kids or TCKs? A TCK is a person who has lived within two or more cultures during their developmental years. They’ve moved multiple times, and interacting with different cultures is a normal part of their lives. Do you relate to this? If so, you may be interested in Truth4TCKs! Truth4TCKs 2021 Truth4TCKs 2021 is an online conference for teenage and young adult Christian TCKs, whether they be Missionary Kids, Military Kids, Expat Kids, Business Kids, Diplomat Kids, etc. The conference mission strives to bring biblical truth and encouragement regarding the cross-cultural and highly mobile life to TCKs – especially those that may not have easy access to uplifting care. You may be wondering, “What makes this event special?” Truth4TCKs is for followers of Jesus Christ that are also TCKs. The conference’s administrative team is made up of teenagers and young adults serving teenagers and young adults. It is not an organization; rather, an organic movement. Theme of Truth4TCKs 2021 TCKs don’t have a sense of belonging to any country. Wherever they go, they feel that they don’t completely fit into the community nor does the place truly feel like home. Sounds familiar? Tackling those issues, the theme for this year’s conference is finding what it means to be a global citizen of Heaven. As Christian TCKs, they are given an unchanging identity in Christ and a home in Heaven. Once they are grounded in Jesus, they can live their lives as global citizens while using their TCK gifts to the glory of God and the good of others. You can find out more on what it means to be a global citizen of Heaven by attending Truth4TCKs 2021. Dates for Truth4TCKs 2021 The conference takes place on May 22nd and 23rd. Speakers in Truth4TCKs 2021 The amazing speakers have hearts for God and to serve TCKs like you. They come from diverse backgrounds such as diplomatic, military, business, ministry and more. The speakers are Breanne Eckman, C.B., Melinda Clark, William Moore, Megan C. Norton, Chris O’Shaughnessy, and Kate Forbes (MSP). Costs of Truth4TCKs 2021 Cheap and conveniently accessible from any country online, Truth4TCKs 2021 costs only $10 per person. Registration for Truth4TCKs 2021 Interested? Register for the online conference here (truth4tcks.org/register/). Well that is it for today. Thanks for stoping by The SunShining Blog. Come back again soon!
(For android) Hi, it me NCR here again. As many of you know I developed my own Bible app. SunBible. For SunBible I wanted to create either a printable Bible reading progress chart or create a Bible reading tracker app page or stand alone app. When is came to creating printable Bible reading progress charts I found that there wan not a whole lot out there. And it was an easy enough task. So I created a few (You can find a link to them at the bottom of this post. But when it came to creating an interactive Bible reading tracker application that was a different matter. Not only was the task a lot harder. I decided to search the google play store, and I found a few amazing applications. My recent motto has been if I can't do it better than there is probably no need for me to do it. You may see a Bible reading tracker application by me someday. But today I just wanted to share with you some that I found. These are all so good so I won't write much about them. And they also are very easy to use. There is one I didn't like as much so I wrote a little something about it. ## 1. [My Bible Tracker](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.biblereadingprogresstracker.BibleTracker) ## 2. [Bible Read - Progress Tracking App](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wolinweb.BibleRead) ## 3. [Bible Reading Checklist](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jtwebb.biblereading) ## 4. [Bible Reading Chart](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alacransoftware.biblechart) ## 5. [Bible Reading Assistant](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dailybiblereading.ministry) ## 6. [365 Bible Reading Checklist](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.recordot.bible) ## 7. [Tracks – Bible Companion](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.livingletter.tracks) I think this last one works with Google calendar. I didn't use it much. A little more complicated to use. ## 8. The first seven are enough. But if you search you may be able to find other applications. My printable pages: [SunBible Printable: Bible Reading Progress](https://www.scribd.com/doc/494543402) And if you are looking for... A simply beautiful place to read, study, and memorize the Bible Check out SunBible: https://the-sunshining.github.io/SunBible/index.html Download at: https://sunbible-dev.github.io/download/ If you are an app user you may have noticed that I have discontinued updating the SunBible app over the summer. I will update a few more times this year. Maybe once this summer.
Something using a green screen has made me think about is... What am I hiding? That is what I want you to think about today. Are you hiding? Or What are you hiding? And What or who are you hiding from? Where are you hiding? 🙈 Does God want us to hide from Him? :: Do you want to hide from God?Do people want to hid from God? Do you want to hid from God? Before we get to this we should first look at... Why do people hide for? I think the biggest reason is because of fear. We hide from something or someone because we fear that something or someone. We also hide ourselves because we are afraid of being know. Being vulnerable is or can be scary. --- Why would you want to hide from God? The Bible does say that we are to fear God. Here is a verse from the Old Testament: "And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day." - Deuteronomy 6:24 So yes we are to fear God. But the fear we have for God is a different kind of fear. Our fear for God should not make us want to run and hide from Him. He loves each and every one of us very much. He desires to have a relationship with us. Yes God can be scary. But should have a love for him that drives out all fear. Here is a verse from the New Testament: "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us." - 1 John 4:18-19 I love verse 19 we love Him because he first loved us. So to answer the question. No. We should not hide from God. Why? Because we don't want to. The funny thing is we usually don't know what we want until we get to experience it. Whenever Angles appeared in the Bible one of the first things one of the first things they had to say was fear not. Starting a relationship with God can be scary if you have never had a relationship with Him before. --- Here are some things God is saying to you... "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." - Matthew 11:28-30 (I am pretty sure you have heard this verse before.) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." - Revelation 3:20 God loves you and he desires to have a relationship with you. If all this is new to you I would love to connect with you in the comments. 🙈 Should we hide from other people? :: (Some Characteristics of Christian Relationships)(Should we hide from other people? :: Totally a question an introvert would ask) If having a relationship with God is scary and hard, having a relationship with people that you have to interact with on a regular basis is even more difficult and scary. But just because it is hard and scary does that mean that we should run from it and hide from it. Yes the the name of the Lord is a strong tower. "The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe." - Proverbs 18:10 But because we have a relationship with God we don't have to fear what man can do to us. "In the Lord put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?" - Psalm 11:1 "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." - Matthew 10:28 As Christians our relationship with others has a several aspects: 1. We are called share the good news with all people. 2. We are called to love each other. 3. We are called to care for each other 🙈 Is there anything we should hid from or run from?Hi it's me NCR here again continuing my hiding series. There is just one last question that I want to answer... Is there anything we should hid from or run from? The answer to that is... Yes. Sin. Here is an example of that from the Bible... "And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out." - Genesis 39:12 If you are not framiliar with that story you can read it in context in Genesis 39, and if you don't have a Bible check out SunBible. Here are some more verse in the Bible about hiding from sin: "Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart." - 2 Timothy 2:22 And finally I just want to close by saying you should hide God's word in your heart. ### Verses about hiding: 🙈
"Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord." - Jeremiah 23:23-24 "Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah." - Psalm 32:7 Hi, my name is NCR and welcome to The SunShining Blog. Today I am taking part in a blog tour for the book "POWER IN TIME" by Erudessa Gentian.

Hi it me NCR here with another episode of Sparkling Christian Music Podcast. Last week I talked a little about rising up. Maybe its just because I follow the sparkling Christian music podcast here on Spotify. But it is the top result when I type in "Sparkling" Also new this week is a new website I created for Sparkling Christian music podcast. I don't know about you but this week sped by so fast. I didn't really prepare much to say to day. But I do just want to say it is not possible to rise to the top with out God's help. --- I didn't really listen to much music this week. But earlier this week "LANDON'S LYRIC VIDEOS" uploaded a lyric video for one of unspoken's songs. That made me thing about their music there was a time a few years ago when I listened to their album "follow through" on repeat for a few weeks in a row. I really fell in love with that album. So I decided to make it the album of the week. If you haven't heard of it I encourage you to go look it up and listen to it. It is so good. Once again the name of the is "Follow Through". I like the deluxe version of the album. (I remember one of the most popular song from their 2014 album was "good fight" you may have heard that song before. If not you should go back and listen to that song too.) If you have listened to Christian radio in the last few years you have probably heard a few songs by Unspoken. As much as I love Christian radio, I don't like how they don't play every song from the album. So that is why I have album of the week here on this podcast. And I encourage you to listen to the whole album. --- Now for the new release of the week. So many good songs where released this week. It was hard to pick just one. If you want to listen to all the new music released this week... I encourage you look up my playlist "April 23, 2021 - SunShining Releases". It is just a little over a four hour playlist this week. I think there was one worship album released this week. The live version of "Hold On To Me" by Lauren Daigle. Earlier this week I binged listened to her podcast Daigle Bites. The new song I was most looking forward to listen this week was "Glitter" by Carmen Justice. It was ok. I also loved "How You Love" by James Stockstill. You know what it is so hard for me to pick a new release of the week. They are all so good. I just found out Crowder is releasing a new album in June titled "'Milk & Honey'" they just released the title song today. (Maybe its because I had too many other things on my to do list.) --- Well that is just about it for today. I wasn't planing to talk much then I remembered that me and my sisters went to a "We are Messengers" concert last weekend. The title of this episode is "At the top??" In this world we life in we can keep ourselves so busy trying to stay "At the top??" That we forget the important things. I have been so busy this week. Had so many tasks. It was hard to choose what tasks to do. Also a bit of music new is that Rend Collective started a new podcast! Well I just want to encourage you to slow down this weekend. And take a break from all your tasks. Probably a bit of advise I need to follow better. ---- Well that is it for today. Thanks for listening! And don't forget to check out and listen to the new music and the album of the week. Cause this is a music podcast after all. You can find this podcast on Spotify!
Hi it's me NCR here again and today I want to talk about another song. I feel like I got a little long winded last week, and yet still forgot to say a few things. This week I will keep it shorter and get right to the point. Good music can really brighten up your day. So I thought I would be talking about new/different song here on Daily SunShine every week. If you have any song requests feel free to connect wit me in the comments or on social media. Also besides this YouTube channel I do a music podcast with my sisters called Sparkling Christian Music available only on Spotify. Also I try to make weekly music playlists on Spotify too. So if you are looking for bright music to brighten up your summer you should defiantly check me out on Spotify. (@The SunShining) and if you have any music playlist requests let me know because I love making playlists. The song I want to talk about today is "Rise Up" by Cain But before I get to that song I been meaning to mention for awhile that I wrote a two short pieces for a book titled "Holy Resilience", making me a best selling author. Yes I am a best selling author. The book is now available as a paperback and you can find a link to buy yourself a copy in the description. One of those pieces that I wrote for the book was titled "Rise Up" I am going to read that piece to you right quick then I will talk about the song some.
Well I didn't have much to say about the song. So I feel funny. But hey. I enjoy doing these end of the week episodes like this. And I hope I hope you enjoyed listening to or watching Daily SunShine. Thank you so much for being subscribed! If you enjoy hearing me talk or if you enjoy listening to music I encourage you to look up The SunShine on Spotify. If you are looking for "A simply beautiful place to read, study, and memorize the Bible". Or maybe I will combine both of those videos into one. What are you putting your trust in? Is it something small like a ladder? Because I love giving sneak peeks into my life, I will give another. I have this swimming pool ladder outside my window. This might sound creepy or weird {Hey I did a video titled: "Is God Weird?"}, but I love climbing in and out my window. And as I am climbing out my window, I have to be careful not to put too much weight on one side of or it will tip over. My point: In this world we live in there are many things we can put our trust in. But there is only one worthy of our trust. His name is Jesus. (So today I want to share...) ## Some tips for putting your trust in Jesus. If this is something that is new to you. The first step is just to acknowledge that you are sinner and that there is nothing that you can do to save yourself. And then the next thing to do is to put your trust in Jesus and publicly declare that he is your savior. But if you have been a follower of Jesus for a while there are some others things you can do and ways you can put your trust in God. #### 1. Follow His leading even when it doesn't make sense. #### 2. Obey His commands even if you don't understand them. ### 3. Continue to follow his leading even when others think you are weird and when others make fun of you. Really the only thing I can say is you just have to do it. Trusting Jesus and following him can be hard. But you just got to do it. (I knew it I should have saved my tips for trusting in God for another video.) (I feel like I didn't say much in this video.) I just want to close by encouraging you to put your trust in Him (In God). Don't become too dependent on things that won't last. Let me read this verse to you and hopefully things will make more sense.
Trust God, lean on him and not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and depend on him, and he shall direct thy paths. There are lots of other great Bible verses on the topic of trusting in God. Psalm 20 and Psalm 118 contain a few of these verses. I encourage you to look those up and read them for yourself. And if you are looking for place to read the Bible, check out SunBible or connect with me on the YouVersion Bible app. Or if you want to hear me read them, just search for Psalm 20 or Psalm 118 simply read. And my video should be the top result. Have a good day. Thanks for watching or listening. Don't forget to subscribe wherever you listen to this. And if you are already subscribed thank you so much. If you really enjoyed what I had to say today maybe you would consider sharing it with your friends. (Share the sunshine as I like to say here on daily sunshine.) If you are looking for "A simply beautiful place to read, study, and memorize the Bible".

Available on the web at: (https://the-sunshining.github.io/SunBible/) Or download for your device at: (https://sunbible-dev.github.io/download/) (You probably know that I recorded this video to talk about more than just what bunch of letters mean.
I'll get to that in just a moment, but first I wanted to ask if you noticed how many videos I have been posting to YouTube recently. I have been kind of experimenting with YouTube. And at first, I was posting everything to my main channel. But I just recently started posting things to other channels. For future Tech videos subscribe to "Tech with Nonresistant", but I don't know how many videos I will do on that. Also, if you love books you may want to check out "Nonresistant Book Reviews". My main channel it the home of all things bright. Whatever that means, as I am making plans for TSP S3 I am think I might post that content to another channel.) Now let's get to what I really want to talk about... {My mother recently had a dream about sleeping sheep. And she did a video talking about it.} DS could also stand for dead sheep. (Or sleeping sheep.) When I was first taking notes for this video, I thought I would share some tips for staying awake. But I realized that sleep is very important for a healthy life. (And then I realized this is a very debatable topic. Is spiritual death and spiritual sleep the same thing.) So what I will be talking and sharing about toady on Daily SunShine is some tips for staying spiritually alive and spiritually awake. --- ### Some tips for staying alive and staying awake: #### 1. Read the Bible You can't live without eating. Reading the Bible is like eating food. So, I encourage you to get into God's word regularly. Also, if you haven't you should watch the videos, I did about Bible Study. (God's word is not boring.) #### 2. Talk to God Talking helps you stay awake. - So, talk to God. More could be said about prayer that is why I am going to be doing at least one video about is soon. #### 3. Don't stay in one place God didn't call us to stand still. He called us to follow Him. And that involves movement. (You also make an easier target when you are standing still, but also when you are standing still you are not as much of a threat to Satan.) #### 4. Be a part of a Christian Community. There is strength in numbers. My last two tips are kind of similar: #### 5. Read good books. #### 6. Watch good YouTube videos like mine. Because they can educate you and give you encouragement. (No book is more important than the Bible.) --- And... Finally, I just want to close by saying... Don't forget we are a in a spiritual war. "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" - 1 Peter 5:8 If you are looking for a good place to read in the Bible Ephesians 6 has some great verses about putting on armour and doing all you can to stand. (Hey, I can't believe I left to two tips out of my list of tips.) I will just add them right now. 1. Put on the armour of God. 2. Do all you can to stand. Because we have an enemy that wants to knock us down. (And don't forget that we can always go to God for help.) --- #### New book release shout out: A lot of books have been written on spiritual warfare. I even was going to write one myself. But today I just wanted to give a shoutout to the book "Golgotha" by Angela R. Watts. It is a great book on the topic of spiritual warfare for those who love a good fantasy book. [Golgotha (Remnant Trilogy Book 1)](https://amzn.to/3ticKok) --- ### I decided to cut this out of the video There is a difference between death and sleep. And sleep isn't a bad thing. God created a rest day for us. We can't live without sleep. But don't allow yourself to fall asleep when there is danger nearby (Danger that could kill you in your sleep). As Christians we can lay down in peace and sleep because we have a God who loves us and cares for us. But we should not lay down and die. ---- ### Some verses: "I am that bread of life." - John 6:48 "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." - John 4:14 "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." - 1 Corinthians 15:22 ---- Well that is it for today. Thank you so much for reading the podcast notes on The SunShining Blog or for reading the description. Hi, my name is NCR and welcome to The SunShining Blog. Today I am taking part in a blog tour for the book GOLGOTHA coming out April 10.
I just recently read through the book of Joshua, it was a good read. I really enjoyed the story. In the book of Joshua God's people go into the promised land in do a lot of killing. One thing I love about the book of Joshua is the fact that God fights for his people. A question I know many young people have is... "is it ok for God to kill?" So I want to try to answer that question today. ---- If a human Judge can sentence someone to death for a crime they committed, how much more can God do the same thing. He is the perfect Judge. He knows more than any human Judge will ever know. --- ## Example of God killing people: (Or commanding his people to kill) #### 1. The Flood (Genesis 6-8) #### 2. The burning of Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 18-19) #### 3. The Egyptian firstborn sons during the Passover (Exodus 11-12) #### 4. The Canaanites under Moses and Joshua (Numbers 21:2-3; Deuteronomy 20:17; Joshua 6:17, 21) #### 5. The Amalekites annihilated by Saul (1 Samuel 15) #### 6. The forty and two children by two she bears (2 Kings 2:23-24) These are just a few of the many recorded times God was behind the killing of people. (I will have this list in the description so you can find the verse references. You can also read this on The SunShining Blog. So hi to all my blog readers!) --- My final answer to the question is it ok for God to kill? Is yes. Yes it is ok. He created and gave humans life. He has the right to take it away. If you think it is wrong for God to kill maybe he knows something you don't know. When you read that Bible and read of the times God killed people. Let me ask you something. What makes that any different from dying a natural death. I mean maybe it is a little different. But we are all going to die sometime. --- I guess just one thing I want to close with is that God loves you. Yes he is a just God. But he also is a loving God. He doesn't want to kill you. He sent his son to die for you. You deserve death. But God offers you life. If all this is new to you or if you have other questions about God. I encourage you to ask them in the comments Or connect with me on social media. {@TheSunShining on Facebook and Twitter or @TheSunShiningNCR on Instagram.} --- Bonus question: (Different from video.) Would I be ok with God killing me or my family member? I think I would probably be little mad. But I know the life that we live on earth is a temporary one. And that I'll get to spend eternity with God and whoever is was he killed. What? Does God kill good people? Is someone going to show up in heaven asking why did you kill me? There are probably a whole bunch of other related questions. But I won't be able to get into all of them here on Daily SunSunShine. --- Some other resources: (Not associated with The SunShining) [Old Testament Mass Killings](https://www.bethinking.org/bible/old-testament-mass-killings) [Does God killing people make Him a murderer?](https://www.gotquestions.org/God-killing.html) [Examples of God personally killing people](https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Examples_of_God_personally_killing_people) [15 Bible Verses about God Killed His People](https://bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/God-Killed-His-People)
# DS :: 3 days and 3 nights? :: (Some biblical math) (How long was Jesus Dead?) Today is Easter, or was it yesterday? Depends on when you watch this. The point is that Easter was just celebrated. It is a really huge event in the Christian Church. For some people it is the only day they go to church. But is Easter a Christian holiday? If you do any amount of research I am sure you will find that it has some pagan origins. I won't go into detail on Easter today. What I want to talk about today is the death and resurrection of Jesus. There is no doubt about it being a historical event. --- "But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." - Matthew 12:39:40 "The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away." - John 19:31 "And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him." - Mark 16:1 "And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment." - Luke 23:56 "Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them." - Luke 24:1 --- The question is how long was Jesus Dead? Jesus was buried around 6:00 PM most people believe on a Friday. And most believe that he rose Sunday morning. They also believe that He was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights. But that math just doesn't add up. Some people even say he rose on a Monday. Why is there so much division and confusion about the death and resurrection of Jesus? I don't know. But I do know that if we do some simple math we can get to the bottom of this. We know what time of day Jesus was buried. (around 6:00 PM) We know that he was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights. We know that he was gone by Sunday Morning. So we also know that he rose around 6:00 PM Saturday evening. If you count back three days and three nights we get to Wednesday evening. We know Jesus was buried Wednesday evening, because we know that Thursday was a high sabbath. Like I said. Some simple math. 3 days and 3 nights. I hope this video gave you something to think about and if you are curious I encourage you to do some more research. Its's me NCR here. The blogger version of me. Over the last few months I have really been experimenting with my writing podcasting and YouTubing. I am trying to do three things as once. Because hey why just share a piece in written from when I can make a video or a podcast episode about it. I feel like I am getting better at doing all three things. (And hey for those who like to read, you probably don't mind reading all my video notes.) At the beginning of the year I was think about switching my blog to medium. One things I like about medium is the ability to have different publications. So back in January I create a few different publications. "Nonresistant Film Reviews" "Tech With Nonresistant" And of course "The SunShining" publication. ``` A side note about "Tech With Nonresistant": I originally did a few videos in December. Then I wrote about tech related stuff for a few months. And then I did another Promo video for that and a few Tech related videos in March. But it is not something I think I will continue. ```` Now let me get the thing I want to announce today... "Nonresistant Book Reviews" Over the last few weeks I have discovered brand channels on YouTube, so I created some for all the different things I do. I created a brand channel for Daily SunShine, Tech With Nonresistant, SunBible, and Nonresistant Book Reviews. For Daily SunShine and Tech with Nonresistant I just posted some promo videos directing people to my main YouTube channel. I want to YouTube and even write about these different things. I also want to get monetized on YouTube. But that is something will probably be harder if I have two or three other channel I post to(it is more like 5 or 7). So that is why I have been posting all my content to my main channel. But I am afraid all the diversity of my content on one channel will confuse people. I have been really hesitant to do this but I am starting something new. "Nonresistant Book Reviews". And for this new thing I am starting I will be posting the videos to a special brand channel called Nonresistant Book Reviews. With "Nonresistant Book Reviews" I want to review and talk about the books I have been reading. But also a question I want to answer is "What books should Christian young people read? I don't know how good I will at answering that question. Because I may even read books that I would not recommend other Christian young people read. I guess my biggest hope with "Nonresistant Book Reviews" is to have fun talking about books and maybe leave better reviews on books. I have been reading books for years, but I never been good at leaving book reviews. Book reviews really help out the author. And being the book worm that I am there are defiantly some authors that I love and that I want to support.
# DS :: Little Boys can be annoying (But they can be sweet to) A piece about forgiveness. --- Little Boys can be annoying. Ok. I say that as if I am not a boy. But my gender does not matter at the moment and maybe I will talk about gender in another video. As the oldest of 9 children. I have some younger brothers and some younger sisters. Being the oldest sibling, I am often a baby setter. I love baby setting my younger siblings. Currently I two sweet little sisters that I babysit quite a bit. They love going for stroller rides around the house. And they love going back and forth on a swing set. And they love doing both of these thing for what seems like hours on end. But life isn't always fun and games. We have a few little boys in our family. Little boys can be quite annoying at times. And they seem to enjoy making their little sisters scream. Scaring them with caterpillars, toy snakes and toy guns. But little boys can also be sweet. My little brother Daniel just ran out here to my room and gave me a piece of candy. Besides the Bible my family is my biggest source of inspiration. So let me get to the point of this video. Family conflict is common. There may be times when you hate your siblings or your parents. They say you don't get to decide what happens to you, but you can decide how you respond. It is in times like these when you have a choice to make. Will you continue to hate your brother? Or will you forgive? It is ok to hold on to anger for a while. But there comes a time when you have to let go of your anger and forgive. I guess didn't make this video to say much. I do just want to say though... That I love being a part of a large family. And I want to share a few verses with you... --- "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath" - Ephesians 4:26 "Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift." - Matthew 5:23-24 There are many more verses I could share on this topic but I will just share two more: "Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven." - Matthew 18:21-22 --- Well that is about it for today. In case anyone is wondering it is extremely hard to get angry with annoying little boys they are always so sweet. But maybe you don't have sweet little brothers, maybe you have annoying big brothers, they can be sweet too. If family conflict is something you are experiencing in your home. I just want to encourage you to forgive and forget. Forgiving and forgetting can be hard. But it is worth it. It is the hard things that bring you guys closer together. And at the end of the day the only thing you should be remember is the good times. Well that is it for today. I hope you enjoyed this short piece. I just want to remind you to hit the subscribe button And if you really enjoyed this piece I encourage you to share the sunshine. As always please take some time to to think about what you just heard. # Where should I read in the Bible? :: (A Short Bible Q&A)
{Hi, my name is NCR and welcome to another episode of Daily SunShine. {I love creating and sharing thought-provoking bright content and encouraging people to get into the Bible.} (If that sounds like something you are interested in, I encourage you to hit the subscribe button.) Today I will be answering a few common questions new believers or people who start to get into the Bible for themselves ask about Bible reading and Bible Study. If after watching this video you still have more questions, I encourage you to connect with me on social media.} Hi, it's me the blog version of me. I thought you wouldn't mind reading my video notes so I left them there. I was planning to do a long video answering all these questions. But then I decided to just do a blog post answering these questions. (And maybe a few short videos over the next few weeks.) I have a hard time juggling all the things I do. Podcasting, YouTubing, and Blogging. But I am getting better at it. And I just want to welcome you to my blog. Wether you are a long time reader, or this is your first time here. I hope you find this post helpful. And if you have any other Bible related or spiritual related questions after reading this post feel free to ask them in the comments or connect with me on social media. --- Disclaimer :: I am not a professional on this topic. And so much more could be said. --- ## Where should I read in the Bible? One of the most common questions I hear new believers or people who start to get into the Bible for themselves ask is... Where should I start? So I just thought I would add my answer. Some people say the book of Psalm is a great place to start. Don't get me wrong. The book of Psalm is great. It just might not be everyones cup of tea. The best place I would say to start is at the beginning of the New Testament. The thing with the Old Testament is that is contain a list of a lot of names. The first chapter of Matthew starts out the same way. Don't let those names bore you to death. You can skim over them pretty fast. The rest of Matthew is a great book. It should be an enjoyable read. And from Matthew I would say continue on and read the rest of the New Testament. Depending on wether you feel up to it I would say skip the last book, Revelation. Once you have read through the New Testament you can start reading through some of the shorter Old Testament books. The Old Testament is really important, but it may be awhile before you actually feel like reading some of the books from the Old Testament. I was a Christian for quite a few years before I read through the entire Bible. If you are a new believer I would just say read through the new testament a few time and more particularly the gospels. ## Should I have a special place to read the Bible? (Does having a special place to read help?) It, might. But I would just say read it wherever you normally read books. ## How much time should I spend in God's word everyday? As much time as you can? On a serious note what works for you? But don't spend too much time in the Bible one day that you wear yourself out or bore yourself to death. ## Do I need to read the Bible every day? (What if I am too busy to read God's word everyday?) If you can I would say to at least read one or two verses a day. Because yes it is important to get into God's word every day. But some days of the week you should spend more time reading. ## What if I don't feel like reading God's word? In my few years of reading the Bible on my own there have been times that I have not felt like reading the Bible. And I know this is a question other young people have. I would say if you don't feel like reading the Bible, maybe take a few days break from it. But I would also ask you why? It is because you find it boring? Or is it because you feel you don't have time to read God's word? ## What do I do if I don't like reading in general? If you don't like reading books in general. I don't know how yo made this far in my post. Or I don't know far you made it this far in the world. Reading is a big part of life. But I know that there are many people who don't like to read, some of my brothers or sisters for example. Maybe the Bible is not the best book to start with. You need to fall in love with reading. I mean that is my opinion. I think everyone should love reading? Should everyone love reading? I don't know what this world is coming to. It seems like no one likes to read any more. Some other options? Maybe listening to an audio Bible, or watching Bible films. But nothing compares to reading the Bible. ## How does reading the Bible compare to other books? ## Or How does the Bible compare to other books? The Bible is a holy book so it quite different from other books. The Bible is actually a collection of books. Now the Bible contains truth. Some of the books contain poetry. It defiantly is an interesting book. ## How much of the Bible should I read at a time or how fast should I read through the Bible? (Pick a pace that works for you.) (I might be saying pick your own pace.) For beginners I would recommend a faster pace. Read through individual books at a time. Don't take 28 days to read the gospel of Matthew because it has 28 chapters. Read it through in a few days. Maybe someone who has been a long-time Christian and has read through the whole Bible a few times they can take that long. But if you have never the Bible through before. I would recommend sitting down and reading it like a book. ## What is your opinion on reading the Bible through in a year? // What has your personal experience of reading through the Bible been like? ## How many times through should I read the Bible? ## Or How often should I read the Bible through? If you have read through the Bible once that is amazing. Congratulations. If you are young or new to the Bible and haven't read it through once yet that is ok. It might take you a few years. And in those few years there may be certain books that you read through multiple times. There are certain people who can manage to read the Bible through two or three, and maybe even four times a year. As a young person or a new believer the task of reading through the whole Bible may seem daunting. It is really not that huge huge of a book. But for the average person it probably is not necessary to read the Bible through 4 times in one year. Once through in 4 years might be more like it. But over those 4 years there will and should be many books and passages of the Bible that read through many times. ## Do I need do be a serious Bible scholar to get something out of the Bible? No. But you can find many resources to help. ## What is the reason we read the Bible? 1. To learn more about God for ourselves. 2. To learn more about God so we can share Him with others. ## Physical Bible or Mobile Bible application? Depends. ## What Mobile Bible application would you recommend? I developed a desktop Bible app featuring the beautiful language of the KJV. But the Bible app that I would recommend is the YouVersion Bible app by Life Church. ## Does listening to audio Bible count? Do you like to listen to other audio books? Listening to an audio Bible might work for you. It definitely counts, it might also be helpful to follow along as you listen to it. ## What version should I use? I am a big lover of the KJV, but I know that version is kind of hard to understand. I would say the NIV or NLT are great versions to use. (P.S. NIV = New International Version NLT = New Living Translation) --- ## How to stay engaged in God's Word? I did a short video on this recently. I would say my top 4 tips are... 1. Don't treat it like a chore. 2. Pick a reading pace that works for you. 3. Be intentional about making time to be and spend time in the word of God. 4. Be involved with a Bible study community. --- ## Is it supposed to feel boring? (This is a question my sister Sarah asked.) My response to this question is... Do you enjoy reading? And NO. Reading the Bible should not be boring. ## How do I study the Bible? (This is a question my sister Anna asked.) I hope this short Bible Q&A, answered some of your questions about how to study the Bible. But if you still have that question. I would say... 1. Read it. 2. Read it again. 3. Ask yourself some questions about the passage. (Is there anything that stuck out to you? Is there anything that you did not understand?) 4. Think about the passage a bit. 5. Do some research with some Bible study tools. 6. And read the passage again. That there though is diving into some more series Bible study and is that necessary for everyone? I would say not on a daily basis. But you should defiantly do some of that kind of Bible Study on maybe a weekly basis either by yourself or with a group. --- Well that is it for today. Thank you so much for reading. Once again if you have any spiritual related questions feel free to ask them. Hi, it is me NCR here. At the beginning of the year I said I would be switching the SunShining blog over to medium. But as you can tell I have been posting things here like podcast notes and other stuff. The SunShining blog lives on. And you can count on finding regular great content here. The SunShining Podcast season 2 recently came to a close, but I have big plans for season 3. This summer I am doing Daily SunShine, and I will be posting notes for that here. (It is a mix between a youtube video series and an audio podcast and blog posts.) Also in the next few weeks you may see some "guest posts" or post advertising amazing conferences or books.

(How to stay engaged in God's Word? - Thanks to an Instagram follower for suggesting I do a video about this.) (Reading and Getting Something out of the Bible) (Stay Tuned for more videos on this topic.) --- Hi, my name is NCR, and welcome to another episode of Daily SunShine. I love creating and sharing thought-provoking content and encouraging people to get into the Bible. (If that sounds like something you are interested in, I encourage you to hit the subscribe button.) --- I have done an episode titled... "How Easy To Read The Bible without getting anything out of it" And "What did I get from that chapter?" But I have never talked about how to get something out of the Bible. So that is what I will be doing today. ---- In the video where I talked about how easy it is to read the Bible and get nothing out of it. I feel like I bragged too much about how much of the Bible I read. I don't want to brag in this video. But I do just want to say that I have been reading the Bible for a few years. So I have some experience. And today I just want to share some of my top tips on how you can read more and get more out of the Bible. ---- ## 1. Don't treat it like a chore. You read other books for enjoyment right? Why don't you read the Bible for enjoyment too? ## 2. Pick a pace that works for you. ## 3. Be intentional about making time to be and spend time in the word of God. (That is basically it for this point.) Pick a time that works for you. ## 4. Be involved with a community. I am an introvert. So I love to read the Bible by myself. But being a part of a Christian community can really help you get more out of God's word. And just because you are a part of a group doesn't mean that you should get into God's word by yourself. ---- Well, that is it for today. Those were just some of my top Bible study tips. There is defiantly more that could on this topic. {That is why I will be doing more videos on Bible reading and Bible study.} If you have any questions on this topic of Bible study or on any spiritual-related topic feel free to ask them in the comments or connect wit me on social media and send me a direct message. @TheSunShining on Facebook and Twitter or @TheSunShiningNCR on Instagram. If you watched this far thank you so much. If you haven't already hit the like button and don't forget to subscribe. And as always think about what you have heard from me here at the SunShining. # is God weird? A look at weird. What does the word weird mean? What is the opposite from weird? ## Dictionary: ``` weird: (adjective) suggesting something supernatural antonyms: normal ``` ``` normal: (adjective) conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected. (Noun) the usual, average, or typical state or condition. ``` ``` connotation: (Noun) an idea or feeling that a word invokes in addition to its literal or primary meaning. ``` Weird is Normal. Normal is weird. Because everyone and everything is weird. Everyone and everything is normal. You might be wondering why we are having this conversation at all then. It because some people consider themselves normal. And they consider the things they do normal. And they consider other people and the ways other people do things or the way other people look weird. Let me ask you something... What is wrong with being weird? (That is the problem, we think being weird is a negative thing.) Nothing. (Nothing is wrong with weird.) What is wrong with being normal? Everything. (From a Christian perspective.) God didn't call us to be normal. He called/s us to be weird. He called us to be different. Why does the word weird have such a negative connotation? It's because there are people in the world who think they're so great, so cool, and so normal and they look down on people who are different from them. The title of this piece... "is God weird?" I want to come back to that question. What makes God normal? What is your standard of a normal God? People have been creating gods in their image for years. And so by many people's standards the one true God is not normal. He is out of this world weird, different and amazing. --- One of the biggest things that makes God different. Is his love. > "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 Some (other) things that make God weird... ### 1. God's ways are weird. > "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." - Isaiah 55:8-9 ### 2. God's life span is weird.(Sleep Schedule?) > "Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding." - Isaiah 40:28 ### 3. His location is weird. > "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." - Joshua 1:9 In Psalm 139 David wrote a few verses about trying to flee from the presence of God. > "Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?" Psalm 139:7 Isn't weird how God loves you so much that He always want to be near you? ### 4. His eyesight is weird. (Or maybe it is his eyes.) > "The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good." - Proverbs 15:3 ### 5. His people are weird. (Or at least they should be.) >"For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth." - Deuteronomy 14:2 Well that is it for this episode of Daily SunShine. Well today I have a ton more. --- # Since I started season 2 of the SunShining Podcast. When I did the first episodes of the SunShining podcast they were around 20 to 30 minutes long. Longest episode I did was about an hour long. the sunshine podcast is kind of become a place for me just to ramble on about things I'm currently doing in just a share some of my thoughts. And also to have conversations with people. though I got to say some of my conversations that I've had this season of the sunshine podcast could have been a lot longer. {I want to show an early video for The SunShining podcast season 2} I made many blunders over the year. One of those blunders is in converting video to audio and not listening to that audio till it it too late. One of those episodes I did that for was Episode 18. The video is fine. But the audio is terrible. --- I feel like I have really grown and changed and really became better at podcasting over the winter. And I am really glad you could join me for the journey. --- ## the last few weeks I have done a lot of soul searching. ## What are my plans for the future? // ## What are a few things I have done the last few weeks? --- # Daily SunShine I have just recently started daily sunshine. Daily Sunshine did not start out as a podcast but it quickly turned into one. You can find Daily Sunshine on YouTube, Medium and everywhere else podcast are available. Daily Sunshine is not necessarily a replacement for the sunshine podcast. and I am so excited to be doing you know another season of the sunshine podcast who knows when. But until then Daily SunShine. {Here is a trailer I created last Friday.} --- # I created a website for my self. This was something I was hesitant to do because the SunShining is not all about me. It is about shining light in peoples lives. And sharing godly resources. --- # Tech with Nonresistant I did two trailers for tech with Nonresistant That is something I would like to do this summer. Talk about tech. But I don't know if that will be a separate thing form daily sunshine. I already did an episode of daily sunshine about Spotify, about clipping and video editing, The biggest inspiration for Tech with Nonresistant is that I am the family tech guy. (While that doesn't necessarily make me a professional.) I find my self talking about tech related stuff a lot with family members and helping them to sort out their tech problems. Just transiting that to YouTube is kind of hard. --- ## Something I am going to have to do. I am releasing so much content. And I plan to release so much content this summer. But something I need to do is re-listen to episodes of the SunShining podcast this summer. And I encourage you to do the same thing. --- ## You will have to follow me To stay tuned for what I am doing with my life. --- # Give-away I was going to do a draw but instead I will do a give-away. Because we are all winners. So what that means is that I will be sending anyone a prize that gives me their address. All you have to do is connect with me on social media and send me a private message with your address and you will receive a prize in the mail for listening to this season of the SunShining podcast. --- ## Things I would like to organize: I was going to share a short inspirational thought here but my week has been busy. Instead I just want to announce a few more things. There are a few things that I would like to organize. For one a huge online yearly conference. For another devo collaborations. I can't organize and do everything I want to do. So part of being a good organizer Is saying no to certain things and saying yes to other things. Some thing I wanted to organize this summer but am not doing is a music podcast. It would just be too much for me to handle. The thing with our American lives is that we are so organized. Organization helps us to do things. But then organization locks us in so that we can't do other things. --- # What is the reason you started a podcast? I saw an add for anchor and realized that is was easy to do a podcast. But I want to do more than a podcast. # Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Still hosting The SunShining podcast. I hope to reach top christian podcast status with season 3 that is if I even do season 3. The future is so uncertain. # How many videos did I post to YouTube this last week? The last few weeks when I posted my podcast notes on my blog I shared a list of videos I uploaded that week. This week I uploaded over 30 videos to YouTube. Not just saying that to brag. But to let you know what I have been doing with my week. You might be wondering what these videos where about and where I posted them. So most of the videos where short nature clips that I posted to a new brand channel called SunShining Clips. Some of the other videos where adds for SunBible or Daily SunShine. Some of the videos where tech videos. And some where livestream test preparing for this livestream. # How many videos do you think you will post over the next few weeks? I think I might take a break from posting daily. But I will still continue to post regularly all summer. To see my other channels and videos: www.youtube.com/channel/UCHW76AQMjCK2dqh2Me50v6Q/channels
Hi, it's me NCR here redesigning the website. I am removing some content and just wanted to past the text here in case I want it back. Old Introduction on the home page:Hi, and welcome to The SunShining. My name is N.C.R. I really love good Christian books and I am passionate about sharing good godly resources. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16
# In Opening
Hi, it me NCR here with another episode of the SunShining podcast. This is officially episode 23, and for the last few weeks I have been hinting that I will have another guest here on the podcast. If you read the title of this episode you probably already know the name of my guest. But I will go head and introduce her. Out of all the guests I have had on The SunShining podcast so far. Priscilla Lim has probably done the most world traveling. I know she's been to Switzerland and back. I should've asked if she's been to any other country, but I didn't. Well in her world travels she attended Mount Carmel Bible School. A small unique Bible Collage in Edmonton AB with an amazing one year gap program. If that is something you are looking for I encourage you to Check out Carmel. A link to their website will be in the description of this episode. You can also find a link to their website in the podcast notes that will be posted on The SunShining Blog or you can have the notes for this podcast episode sent directly to your inbox by signing up for the SunShining newsletter on Medium. Anyway back to this episode of The SunShining Podcast. Me and my guest met at Carmel. That is why she is a guest here on The Podcast. We are going to get to the interview in just a moment. But first an add break. Then directly into the interview. And then I will share a few more thoughts after.
# In Ending:
I can't believe I haven't talk about this yet on this season of the SunShining podcast. God Loves you. On this season of The SunShining either me or my guests have talked about such things as... "Loving Others" "Being Open Minded" "Loving Good" "Judging Others" "New Mercies" "Finding Peace" --- But never have I done an episode about Gods love for you. God loves you. --- Also is my guests reflections about Covid are pretty cool too. It really is cool how a global pandemic affects everyone and has brought many of together. --- I have shared many different verses here on the SunShining podcast. Today I just wanted to share a few about God's love for you. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8 "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not." - 1 John 3:1 --- It is easy to hear someone talk about God's love. It is harder to grasp it for yourself. And so today I just want you to take a moment and think about God's love for you. --- And this it for EP 23 of Season 2 of The SunShining Podcast. Wether you are a long time listener or this is your first episode. I just want to thank you so much for tuning in. Stay tuned for next week, when I will be doing and end of season Livestream on my YouTube channel. And a small give-away. To enter the give-away all you have to do is share on social media that you love or loved listening The SunShining Podcast. Ya it is sad. The SunShining Podcast Season Two is coming to an end. But you know what the means... There may be another season. (You are going to have to stay tuned for next week when I will share all the details.

Once again that is "Nonresistant Really" on YouTube. {Also "The SunShining" has a YouTube channel too.} With all that being said lets get to today's topic...
What do I want people to think about today?
That is a good question. If you noticed this week I release 3 episodes of daily sunshine. So not daily. But that is because I have a lot of other things I am doing. Anyway on Tuesday I was not planing on releasing an episode of daily SunShine, and I didn't. But a thought came to me that I wanted to share, and then I didn't end up sharing it there. It is such a profound thought. I did not want it to get lost among the many daily sunshine episodes so I decided to wait and share it with you guys. You ready for it...? This is what I want you to think about today... The things you own. Do you really own them? Or do they own you? My thoughts on this topic made me think of a piece I wrote when I was 17 years old. [My Pet](https://www.scribd.com/document/498090417/My-Pet) I can't say I agree with everything I wrote when I was seventeen. It may not be theologically correct. But it sure makes you think right? --- ### Some more questions: Is there anything that keeping you from God? Is there anything that has a negative impact on your life? Is there anything you need to get rid of? Is there anything that has a positive impact on your life? Is there anything you should have more of? And lastly I just want to repeat again: Think about the things you own. Do they own you? Or do you own them. Well that is just about it for this episode of the SunShining Podcast. Thank you so much for listening, watching, or reading this. Please stay tuned for more. --- Before I let you go I just want to share a verse or the verse of the week: "Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words." - Psalm 119:57 I know this might sound kind of funny. But I encourage you to take ownership of God. Don't let Him just be God. Make Him your God.

Well, that is it for today. Thank you so much for listening. (Or for reading these podcast notes.)
You can have them delivered straight to your inbox by signing up for The SunShining Newsletter on Medium. (https://medium.com/the-sunshining/newsletters/the-sunshining-newsletter) Hi it's me NCR here with another episode of The SunShining Podcast. It's just me again today. And I have a lot to talk about. Hopefully I don't stray too far from my notes. By the way you can read them on the SunShining Blog or get them deliver to your inbox by signing up for the SunShining newsletter on Medium. Links to that will be in the description. My notes are kind of jumbled today, because I was going to have a guest on this episode but the interview was postponed, also a lot of other things happened in the last two weeks so please bear with me. ## Intro: I want to talk about daily SunShine. And how the SunShining podcast is coming to a close. (But I still have a few more great episodes. And at least one more great guest on The SunShining Podcast.) I don't want to kill the SunShining podcast before it runs its course. Something I said recently, and I will say it again, because I just want to make sure everyone heard it is that I planned and scheduled approximately 24 episodes of The SunShining podcast season two from the first week of fall to the last week of winter. For me here in Texas is feels like Summer And so, I started daily sunshine podcast. It is hard to have two podcasts going on at the same time. Daily sunshine will continue throughout the summer, and it has a bright future. Something I was thinking about also doing this summer was a music podcast. But I don't really have license to use any music so I probably won't be doing that. Ok back to The SunShining Podcast. I just want to thank you for being a loyal listener. And as a thank you I decided to do a draw. Last week I designed some new merchandise with the "posters" I was creating to use behind me. You probably wondering how you can enter this draw and what you will win. To Enter: Share on Instagram, twitter or Facebook that you love listing to The SunShining podcast, be sure to tag me. Each share gets you another entry. Also, you can leave a comment here on YouTube telling me what you like about this episode or any of my previous episodes. The deadline for the draw will be March 25, you have till then to enter. Either I will send you a message to let you know for certain that you are entered or you should send me a message making sure you are entered. Once again. Share that you love listing to the SunShining podcast on Instagram, Facebook or twitter, and be sure to tag "The SunShining". Also, you can leave a review on apple podcast. Or send me a voice message on anchor. Also share the draw with your friends and family. I will be doing a live draw either on YouTube or Instagram. What will you win? Glad you ask. You will win either this or this with a picture of choice on it. And a sticker. You can choice from my merch shop. Link in description. [My Christian Teacup](https://shop.spreadshirt.ca/mychristianteacup/) And also, you will win a 10-dollar gift card for "Chick-fil-A" This $10 dollar gift card has a little bit of a story to it. ### What did my last two weeks look like? I know the last episode of The SunShining podcast came out last Thursday. But I recorded that episode at the beginning of the week. So, it has been about two weeks since I got to share with you my loyal podcast listeners what's been going on in life. (Note: I am recording this Wednesday March 3.) Besides recording last weeks and this week's episode in the last two weeks I also started recording daily sunshine that I already mentioned and released 7 episodes of that. Also last week I recorded the book of Romans. This week I have been working on putting that audio to video. And I started recording the book of 1 Corinthians. I will be releasing the audio and the videos for the Book of Romans yet this week, maybe Thursday evening or Friday. And next week I will be doing the same thing with First and Second Corinthians. Putting one to video and recording the next. Also, I released my monthly update of SunBible at the end of last week. I have started doing monthly releases for that. It is available for Mac OS, Windows, and Linux. Also, on the weekend my mother had a gospel meeting at the park. ### Do you care to share what you have been reading the last two weeks? I love reading, and sure I would love to share what I have been reading. For one I can't believe you have never asked this question before. And for another... I can't believe that I haven't announced this on the SunShining podcast yet. But I recently contributed to a book. Wrote two short pieces for it and now I am a bestselling author. So, I have been reading that. The name of the book is "Holy Resilience" In case you are interested. Also, other books I have been reading in the last two weeks are "The Storm Siren Trilogy" Really good series. ### What do I want you to think about today? You probably guessed it already by the title. But I am really wanting you to think about two things today. I want you to think about the questions you ask yourself when you go to study the Bible. This week I shared some of my questions. Like Do I really need to read God's word? Is there a time not to read God's word? And then when we actually get into God's word, we need to ask questions like What did I get from that chapter? Also, if you read a verse about a certain topic, you can ask personal questions related to that topic. [Judge Not(Questions about Judging…)](https://medium.com/sunbible/judge-not-questions-about-judging-271b69bc2d91) # Verse of the week: I love the way Jesus says it in Matthew 7:1, but I think I love the way his brother James says it more. So, our verse for this week is from the book of James. > "Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?" - James 4:11-12 Other Things I published this week:Written things:
