The fear of the Lord is the beginning… ...of knowledge… ...but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7 In this day and age people a majority of the people deny the fact that wisdom comes from the Lord. There are many who make fun of Christians for being dumb. There are many who think they can be wise without God. And that may just be the first mistake they have made because... The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. The first step to being wise is to fear the Lord. It is very foolish to not trust God. Wisdom comes from God. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Proverbs 9:10 stay tune for another blog post coming today.

All things work together for good And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. - Romans 8:28 One thing that is interesting is that you can read through the book of Genesis in less time than Joseph was sitting in the pit. We can read stories like Joseph's so fast and can see how good came out of what Joseph's brothers meant for evil. And then we wonder when God is going to do something good with our hardship. I just want to encourage you to be patient, because things like that take time. Good comes from hardship always, but like answers to prayer… The good that comes from your hardship may not be what you expected it to be, and it may disappoint you. But always good comes from hardship. But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. - Genesis 50:20 More great blog posts on the subject of hardship:
God Inspires
Every once in a while I look back at my past writings, and I am amazed at how good some of them are. I could be tempted to take all the credit for writing such good things. But only tempted. I know that I can write that good on my own. I am in awe of what God has done through me. God has inspired each and every word I write, and has helped me every step of the way. To God be all the glory. God inspires. What has he inspired you to do? Do you give all the glory? "Lord I thank you so much for all you have helped me to do, and ask Lord that you continue to help me do more." Latest and last question to help video for a while. I soon plan on starting a characterictics of a christian video series. If you liked this series stay tune for that. I really love God. And I try to be as much like Christ as I can. But I fail miserably. There have been times when I have seen the way certain Christians act and have said "If that is the way Christians act, If that is what Christians are, then I don't want to be one." What I and others fail to realize when they look at Christians is that… "People are terrible imitators of Christ." I know I am. People may represent Christ in a bad way. But that doesn't change who Christ is. Don't let people turn you away from Christ. Get to know and Love Jesus for who He really is. Go to the Gospels. Prayer: "Lord I am so sorry for my mistakes and failures. Please forgive me for being a bad representation of you. And Lord please help me to do better. Amen." Quotes: The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable. - Brennan Manning Verses: Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2 Just a little thought: Next time you wonder why try. Think. One day God may ask you why you did not try. Another think I just thought of is that some people don't even wonder why try. They just flat out refuse to try. And that is not right. You never know what God might have for you to do or want you to do. Stay tune for more great things coming this week!
"Good people go to hell, Bad people go to heaven."
Why is that? Most people who consider themselves good are too proud to repent of their sins. The Bible says all have sinned(Romans 3:23), there is no such thing as a good person hell. I am not really a professional on how to get to heaven. Because only God knows how to get to heaven. But I can tell you a few things about how to get to heaven. First I want to ask you why you want to get to heaven. Why do you want to go to heaven? Is it because you love God? Because let me tell you something, if you don't love God you ain't going to want to spend eternity with him. Heaven is where God is. Hell is where God is not. If you think you are such a good person and that you don't need God in this present life. And indeed if you spend your entire life without spending any time with God. Then what makes you think that you would want to spend any time with God, in eternity. "O, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God." - Cory Asbury God loves you with an overwhelming never-ending love. He loves you no matter who you are, no matter what you have done. You may be the worst of sinners but still, God loves you. And he desires that same love from you. God doesn't force you to love him. And he certainly doesn't force you to spend eternity with him. The choice is up to you. If you love God, you are going to want to try and please him. And you would also want to spend an eternity with God. "Good people go to hell, Bad people go to heaven." Why is that? If the above has not answered your question yet, maybe this verse will help. "Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little." (Some of His Characteristics) "What would Jesus do?" was a question made popular by Charles Sheldon and his book titled "In His Steps". To do what Jesus would do, one must know what he was like, and how he acted. It is also important to have knowledge of the Characteristics of God if we wish to have victory in spiritual warfare. So let's get started. Who really is God? 1. God is Love. 1 John 4:8 - He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.2. God is Caring. 1 Peter 5:7 - Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.3. God is Good. Mark 10:18 - And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.4. God is Perfect. Matthew 5:48 - Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. 5. God is Holy. 1 Peter 1:15-16 - But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.6. God is Righteous. 1 John 2:29 - If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.7. God is all-powerful. Matthew 19:26 - But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. 8. God is all-knowing. 9. God is all-present. 10. God is Kind. Titus 3:4-6 - But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour. 11. God is Eternal. Psalm 90:2 - Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. More Verses: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. I want to start by calling myself all the worst names I have either heard others been called, called others, or been called. I am a big old idiot. A white niger. A ball of trash, a "dumb ball" so to speak. Fully retarded, and completely stupid. Unfortunately, I can't think of more, probably because I am stupid, but I know there are more out there. Now I will take a break from calling myself all these names and share something interesting with you. Did you know that no matter what you call a rock, a rock is still a rock? You could call a rock a flower, but is it? And by calling another name does that change what it is? No. One of the many reasons that we continue to call a rock a rock is so we can all know what we are talking about and understand each other. So I just want to summarize this paragraph by saying that a thing is what it is no matter what it is called. For people who get called names I just want to say, you are who you are and what you are, don't let anybody's name-calling affect you. Who you really are: You are in the image of God You are Created by God (God does not create anything with even the slightest imperfecties.) You are a masterpiece You are a jewel You are a priceless treasure You are unique and special You are terrific. You are amazing. You are awesome. You are wonderful. You are splendid. There are so many good things out there that you are. And it is so sad that they are not more widely broadcasted. The greater the effort required. The greater the difficulty. The greater the challenge. Then the greater the commitment must be. Then greater the love must be. God wants followers who really love Him and really are committed to him. And I can assure you the way of Christ is filled with risk, But it is not risk without a reward. For the last couple of years whenever we shot a deer or got one gave to us it has been my job to help package and label the meat.
Very early on I started writing godly messages on the packages. I use more space to write a godly message than I do to label the package. For ground deer, I label it G.D.. G.D. stands for ground deer, but it also stands for God does. God does many things. One of the most common phrases I write on ground deer packages is "God does love." Recently I have been trying to think of more things God does. Here is a small list: God does love God does care God does good God does inspire God does tell the truth/God does not lie Can you think of anything else God does? Christian County Music? I just bought an album by Joey + Rory. They are really good country singers. And I really love their album that I bought. It is titled "Hymns That are important to us". Some of the songs on that cd include Jesus loves me, It is well with my soul, The old rugged cross, and I'll fly away. Upon hearing the names of some of these songs you may not think it is country music. But the way they sing these songs, makes it country music. This summer I was a cabin leader at riverside. And I had a new radio. Some kids in my cabin where wanting to listen to the country station. And I said no not if it was unChristian. I do not allow or like any unChristian music. And the kids said yes it is Christian. I wasn't so sure. I know most country stations out there do not play Christian music. So I asked them what their definition of Christian country music was. They said that Christian country music was country music with no swear words. I did not like that definition. Isn't there more to Christian country music than that? So I did some thinking. And the definition I came up with for Christian country music is this. Christian country music is country music throughly soked with a Christian message. Country music is not Christian just because it has no swearing in it. It is Christian because it has a Christian message. And my thinking didn't stop once I came up that definition of country music. It is sad how satan has deceived people into being content with second best. I am sure that being ok with second best country music is not the only thing satan has deceived us into being content with. Are you content with second best books? Second best movies? Second best anything? God loves you, cares about you, and wants what is best for you. I encourage you to renew your mind, take captive every thought, and think only on things which are lofty. 'I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. ' - Romans 12:1-2 'Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ' - Philippians 4:8 'For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. ' - 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 P.S. There are so many great Christians resources out there. If you like watching movies reading books or listening to country music I encourage you to make sure that it is not second best stuff, but the best of the best. And don't take my word for what is good or not. Go to your bible. The True Source of Joy People are born looking for happiness and joy. They spend most of their lives searching for happiness and joy. And it is surprising all the things that bring you happiness or make you joyful. But earthly things never last and no matter how much joy or happiness they bring you, it never lasts either. The true source of joy is God. He is the alpha and omega, beginning and ending. He can provide you with joy, real joy, never-ending joy. Are you a person who is looking for joy? Do you know God? He loves you and is the true source of joy. If you have not made him the lord of your life I encourage you to do that know. Are you somebody who has been a Christian for a while, but are struggling with having joy. Being a Christian does not guarantee that you'll always have an easy life. But it does guarantee that you can always have a joyful life. But you will not have true joy unless you seek God daily, unless grow closer to God daily. Verses: Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Psalms 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. John 15:11 (Jesus words) These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. Luke 2:10 (Angel telling about Jesus) And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. Powerless
I like how Jesus was God. And that when he came to earth he left behind all his power and glory. And he knew that he could do nothing without God. Something that is funny is that we think we can do things without God's help. But the truth is we can do nothing without God's help. It is funny but we cannot even disobey God without God helping us. My question is why would you want to disobey God? He helps you so much doesn't that make you want to love and obey him. A Time To Fast When is the last time you fasted? Fasting is something we as Christians should do once in awhile. But it is hardly ever done. I know that I hardly ever do it. The bible gives us instruction on how to fast. But it does not tell us when to fast. Choosing a time to fast is our responsibility. I encourage you to choose a time to fast. Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. Matthew 6:16-18 KJV To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted. A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing. A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away. A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak. A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 I don't deserve this?
When is the last time you said or thought something like that? What was it that you thought you did not deserve? Now everyone is different. I do not know about you, but some people when they experience hardship throw their hands up in the air. And they ask God why? Why are you doing this to me I do not deserve it? Why am I experiencing this hardship? I just do not deserve it. What makes you think you do not deserve hardship? I do not know whether or not you deserve hardship. But one thing I do know is that you do not deserve grace. None of us deserve grace. It is a gift from God, let's thank Him for it. (Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9) I think if would spend our time thanking God for grace instead of complaining about hardship life would be a little bit easier. Another thing about hardship. We may not deserve it, but we are privileged to experience it. Check out these great verses in peter about suffering: "Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward. 19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. 20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. 21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps." 1 Peter 2:18-21 "But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled." 1 Peter 3:14 "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. 16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf." 1 Peter 4:12-16 If life was really easy then we would not need help living it. But life is not easy, it is filled with hardships. People often question: "If God is so good, then why do so many bad things happen?". I cannot explain where hardships come from. But I can tell you some reasons they are good. Hardship keep us dependent on God. Hardships are good because they keep us needing God. They keep us dependent on God. If we do not need Him in this present life then why would we need him in eternity? If we don't need him in eternity, do you think we will be in heaven with him? No. Eternity helps keep everything in focus. Without eternity there would be no good in hardships. There are countless many other reasons why it is amazing. Other reasons: Hardship keeps us Humble 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. Hardship helps us produce fruit In order to help us produce fruit God has to prune us(John 15:2). And pruning hurts Hardship help us to become mature Your turn: If hardship is really as good as we say it is, and if it happens to everybody including you. Then you should be able to list some of the good things hardship has done for you. I know that when you are right in the midst of hardship it can be hard, but when it is all past I am sure you are thankful for it. I personally am thankful for the hardship I have experienced I would be a different person today if I did not experience any. Hardship has made me a more understanding and caring person. I would be a spoiled rotten and crule person if I had not experienced hardship. Note: All hardship is not good, because some hardship is either unecessary or comes from mean people. But good can come from all hardship(Romans 8:28). Hi my name is N.C.R.. I hope you enjoy this small little writing. It is not written in the normal way I write SunShining Inspiration posts. It is mainly in outline from, the best form for this post. In it I attempt to answer the questions: Where does hardship come from? And why does hardship comes from there? At first I hesitated to say that hardship can come from God. But I wanted to be very thorough in my writing. All hardship does not come from satan, neither does all hardship come from God. Some hardship comes from God, and some from satan. Some hardship even comes from ourselves. As always please think about what you read. And please share it with your friends, there are share button on the blog sidebar. Outline: 1. Where does hardship come from? 2. Why does it come from there? 1. From God
www.thesunshining.weebly.com/sunshining-inspirations/even-when-you-dont-see-it God is always good, even when you don't see it. But why? Why would there, if God is always good, be times when we don't see the goodness of God. It may be because of our definition of what is good and what makes God good. Many people ask the question: "If God is so good, then why do so many bad things happen?". They are thinking that if God is good, he would make life easy. But part of what makes God so good, is that he knows what is best, and he allows/enforces it. Sometimes that which is best may not be easy. You may be wondering why hardship is sometimes best. Well, you see life is temporal. God would be wicked if he allowed you to have an easy life, then sent you to hell. He allows you to have hardships in this world to test and see if you really love him. Because he only allows those that love him into heaven. For those who do not love God, it would be torture for them to be in heaven. God allows hardship because it separates those who truly love him from those who don't. Last night I had a dream that inspired this post about the goodness of God. I can't really remember all the details. I do remember I came up with this really amazing quote that explained why God was good for allowing hardship. But I cannot remember the quote. Another thing I remember is that in the dream I had a friend whose parents got divorced. I remember that as soon as I heard that I said "amazing". Not that divorce is amazing, but because my friend was experiencing hardship. And hardship is amazing. I know that when you are right in the midst of the storm and hardship it does not feel that great or amazing. But it really is. And God is always good. Just a side note: Divorce is not good, it creates unnecessary hardship. I will be doing a few more post on hardship, so be on the lookout for them. If you would like to ask me any questions on the subject feel free to. As always please think about what you read. And please share SunShining inspirations with your friends. The SunShining (part 3) God is always GoodI was just recently thinking about the sun and its characteristics. So far in this series I have mentioned two. The sun always shines, and it never moves. I just thought of another one. The sun is always hot. In case you missed the other parts here they are: The SunShining (part 1) God is always by our sideThe sun is shining. The sun always shines. But does that mean it is always light? No! Because the sun moves and things block its light. The SunShining (part 2) God does not moveIn the first part I made the mistake of saying that the sun moves. But the sun does not move. Why then can we not always see it? It is because the earth moves. Here is a little thing I wrote about the goodness of God:God is Good. Do SomethingDoing nice things takes action. EnjoymentPeople tend to enjoy doing what they do not have to do. It is because the reason they are doing it is not because they have to, but because they want to and enjoy doing it. Verses about being good1 Peter 3:11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
Hi, I am practicing with html. I use an easy drag and drop website designer so I normally do not have to do this. It should not affect the blog posts much.
Satan Hates GodSatan really hates God. He loves to disobey God. And he really loves to get others to hate and disobey God. You think satan would be kind to anybody who gives into his temptation and starts hating God with him. But you see Humans are an amazing work of art created by God. Whenever satan see us he is reminded of God. Therefore satan not only hates God, but he also hates us. Nothing you can ever do can make satan stop hating you. He is bound on destroying you. Do not give into his temptation. He only wants to harm you. God on the other hand really loves you. Nothing you can ever do can make God stop loving you. God really loves you. He wants to protect you, and heal you if you are broken. Go to God. Here is a poem I just wrote! Stand or Fall You can go to heaven or hell You can be defeated or gain the victory You can win or lose You can live or die But it all depends on whether You stand or fall If you can stand then you’ll go to heaven If you can stand you will have gained the victory If you can stand you can win If you can stand you can live But no man can stand alone If you do not want to go to hell, Be defeated, lose or die. Then you need God Do you have God? Do you want God? He really wants you. He really loves you. Thinging about the domino effect inspired me to write the above poem. The domino effect The Domino effect should encourage us to be and do the best we can. Because what we do affects others. And because as Christians we really want to have a good influence on others. We should have a burning desire to save people. But we cannot save people if we fall. Instead we bring others down with us. If we want to save people we need to stay standing upright. But we cannot do it alone, with everything leaning against us, we need God to help us stand. If you are a christian ask God to help you stand, so that you help God save people. The domino effect: A domino effect or chain reaction is the cumulative effect produced when one event sets off a chain of similar events. - Wikipedia
Just awhile ago I was tempted to take a little piece of moms perfect looking pumpkin bread. I was thinking that surely my mom would not notice such a little piece. But deep down I knew from experience that she would notice. It is surprising the things a person can notice about something they are proud of.
God wants to be proud of us. And He notices ever spot we have and mistake we make. They make him sad, they make Him grieve. I am not perfect, but I am trying my hardest to please God, and also I am asking God to help me please Him. I encourage you to do the same. Try to live a life that makes God happy. |
