God loves you - John  3:16 and more
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

There may not be many verses that say God loves us. But that does not mean his love us is not great. His love for us is so great. He sent his son to die for us.

​It is not a one-time thing
 I don't know if you have heard the saying, "once saved, always save". It may sound like a nice saying. But it is a lie straight from Satan. Once you repent of your sins and make Jesus the Lord of your life. That's just the beginning of a gigantic war against Satan.
  Satan wants to deceive us. He wants to destroy us. He wants to make us think that once we become Christians life is or will be easy. But it is not. Life is a continual war against Satan, filled with much difficulty.
And every day we need to choose to fight against Satan with all we got. 
Every day we need to choose to be on God side.

Prayer
Prayer is not mentioned as a piece of armor in our war against Satan. And I guess it is not. But yet it is vital for our victory.
Praying is something we should do. And do often. Or to put it another way, we should pray with ceasing(1 Thessalonians 5:17).
What is prayer? 
Prayer is talking to God. We should talk to God often.
How does God talk to us?
Through His word, the Bible. That's why we should also read the Bible a lot.

I don't know who you are, and if you have been reading my series of blog posts on spiritual warfare. But I pray that these blogs have helped you. I pray that you are victorious in spiritual warfare. After talking about all the pieces of armor we are now ready to talk about our weapon. The sword of the spirit, which is the word of God.
One thing to remember:
Other people are not our enemies, Satan is.
We can use the word of God to attack Satan and his lies.
How?
We can't just pick a Bible and wack Satan with it. That would just be too easy. No. We have to become familiar with the word of God so we can use it to confront the lies of Satan.

2 things before we can use the sword of the spirit:
  Make sure we have on all the other pieces of armor first. Otherwise, when we charge with our sword we won't last long.
 Next, we need to become familiar with the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God, so when the time comes to use it we can.

 Conclusion:
For victory in spiritual warfare, it is vital that we study the Bible a lot. It is vital for various reasons. One of my favorites is because the Bible, the word of God is a sword that we can use against Satan.
So I highly encourage you to study the Bible. Memorize it, and hid it in your heart.

​The Helmet of Salvation
   Satan loves to attack our minds and our brain. The brain is where all our thinking takes place and is the control center. If Satan can inject his lies and poison into our brain then he can control our actions, lead us to destruction and ultimately destroy us. 
What is the helmet of Salvation and how do you put it on?
The helmet of Salvation is a piece of armor from God to protect our head. And we put is on by continuously controlling our thoughts and protecting our mind from evil. Here is a good verse that tells us what we can think about:

  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8

  Conclusion:
The helmet of Salvation protects our minds from the lies and poison of Satan. Though we have the helmet of Salvation on, a piece of armor from God to help us protect our mind. We still have a job to do. We still have to try our hardest to protect our mind every day.

The Gospel of Peace shoes
Do you go anywhere without shoes?
Can you fight in a war without shoes?
No.
Do you think in out war against Satan it is any different?
No.
We cannot go, or at least we should not go anywhere whiteout shoes.
No one can force us to put on the Gospel of Peace shoes.
But our feet will get shore if we don't put them on.
We need to put them on.
The only way to be victorious is to put on the Gospel of Peace shoes. And maybe you already have them. If so that's great. If not keep reading.

 So what does "Gospel of Peace" mean?
The word gospel means "good news". The good new of Jesus Christ brings peace, therefore it can be called the "Gospel of Peace".

Gospel of Peace?
What kind of shoes are they and how do you put them on?
They are kind of like regular shoes when you have them on, you know you have them on. Once you have them on you should know it. You should know the gospel.
That God loves you.
And you should take the gospel with you everywhere if it's on your feet.
"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." - Mark 16:15

How do they protect you?
Well as I have already mentioned our feet will get shore if we don't have the gospel of peace shoes on our feet. But that's not the only way they protect us.
Satan wants to deceive us, and tempt us.
He wants us to sin.
But the good news is we don't have to sin.
Jesus died for us to save us from a life of sin.
Make sure you have your gospel of peace shoes on where ever you go. They help to protect you from sin. Also an additional thought, when you are sharing the good news with someone you are less likely to sin with them.

Some closing thoughts:
Regular shoes don't necessarily direct our steps. But the gospel of peace shoes are no regular shoes. God uses them to help lead us and direct us.
We may be Christians, and we may have the Gospel of Peace shoes on, but that does not mean we can go anywhere and do anything we want.
We need to go where God wants, and do what he wants us to.

The Breastplate of Righteousness

The Breastplate of Righteousness is an interesting piece of armour, of course I would probably say that about each piece. It's protection is 2 fold it protects you from Satan and from others. Satan the great deceiver wants to trick us into thinking that we need to do good deeds to earn eternal life.
It's silly. But God's not our enemy. We don't need to do good deeds to get to heaven. We could never be good enough or righteous enough, besides Jesus already died for us so we can have eternal life.
No, good deeds don't protect us from God. But the Breastplate of Righteousness does a good job at protecting us from Satan. Or at least it should, if our loins are covered by truth.
Satan can't stand it when we are being little goody goodies. Your Breastplate of Righteousness makes Satan hate you more, but it also protects you more from Satan.
 Righteousness also protects you from other people. People aren't and shouldn't be your enemy. Doing good or righteous deeds to others should make you the best of friends.
 Now after all this talk on righteousness I want to make sure you know what it means. I have heard that it means good deeds. Also I have heard that it means upright living.
What does it mean to live uprightly?
Check out Psalm 15
Lord , who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?  He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.  He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.  In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord . He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.  He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
- Psalms 15

That is a good question, and one worth answering. I believe one of the chief ways to wrestle against Satan is by resisting his temptations, his lies, and his wickedness.
Take a look at what James has to say on the subject:
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
James 4:7

Isn't that an amazing thought. All we have to do is resist Satan and he'll flee from us. If you look at the pieces of armor mentioned in Ephesians chapter 6, you'll find that that's what they are they are pieces of armor. Their purpose is to protect you. In other words, their purpose is to help you resist Satan.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

The Shield of Faith
 I can't believe I missed it in my earlier writings and studyings on the armor of God. But in Eph. 6:16 Paul says "above all, taking the shield of faith".
Did you hear that?
Did you catch that?
"Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked." - Ephesians 6:16
Above all.
Every piece of armor is vital.
But above all take up the shield of faith.
In other words, don't forget the shield of faith.
Make sure you use it.

"As there are different types of shields,
So there are different types of faiths.
When you are in a battle you want to use a good solid shield.
Because we are in a spiritual battle we need to have a faith that is solid and strong.
And the faith we have better be in the only one worth having faith in, the one and only God."

Faith in God protects you like a shield. When hardship is coming your way you can hide behind your faith in God. That may sound cowardly, but it takes courage. It takes courage not to run away. And when you were hiding behind your shield remember that the fiery darts are not coming from God but the wicked.

 The helmet salvation is vital because the battle we are in is spiritual and many of the wars fought in this battle are in our head (not to say that they're not real). Satan loves to attack or minds. He wants to deceive us. Never forget the truth. God loves you. I don't necessarily know how to put the "helmet of salvation" on your head. And I do not know how to keep it there. But I do know that part of having you on your head is that you should never forget the truth that God loves you. And don't let any lies deceive you. Satan hates you.

 The sword of the spirit is your only weapon everything else is armor. But and as I have said before you should not use against mankind, but against Satan and his lies. Because the word of God is your sword of the spirit you need to read the Bible daily( I just used three different names for one thing in one sentence.).
Now we cannot forget prayer, can we. It is not listed as a piece of armor, but yet it is vital for our victory. do you know any army that can be victorious without communication with their leader? Remember pray without ceasing. If you do not know what prayer is, it is just a fancy word for communication with God, the king of kings, and Lord of host.

The relationship between people in spiritual warfare is interesting. You may wonder what the opening quote/title has to do with this article about spiritual warfare. You shall see.

Let me list a few facts of spiritual warfare:

We are in a war.

Our enemy is Satan, every part of him, all his lies and wickedness.

Our leader is or should be God.


Now people are interesting, probably because we have free choice.

Each individual is free to make God the Lord of their life.

Nothing you can ever do can stop God from loving you.

Nothing you can ever do will make Satan stop hating you.


So for those of you who who are on God's side.

What is your relationship to those who say they hate God?

If they are not for you they are against you.

But does that mean you have an enemy relationship with them?

No.

Your enemy has been, and will always be Satan.

Think.

People who say hate God definitely wouldn't want to spend eternity with Him.


Remember what I said at the beginning.

"No one in their right mind would want to go to hell."

Also it could be said that…

"No one in their right mind would say they hate God."


Let me ask again…

What is your relationship with those who say they hate God.

Or maybe I should ask…

"Don't you just want to cry for them people?"

If you truly love God you should also love and have a heart for all people.
