The Armour of God

  Satan hates everyone and everybody. He wants to destroy the entire human race. But we can fight against him. We can join hands with God, and fight for mankind. In our war against Satan we have weapons and armour that are so unique and different from anything of this world.

  To start with there is the belt of truth. This piece of armour is said to be the piece of armour that holds everything together. It is a two fold piece of armour, and takes 2 steps to fully put it on. Step 1 saturate yourself with the truth. You do this by saturating yourself with the word of God. Step 2 become a person of integrity. One who is known for telling the truth all the time.

 It is kind of interesting, and I am taking a break from discussing the pieces of armour to talk about it. Each piece of armour is intertwining. They all work together to protect you. They are all quite similar, but they are all different. Now let's look at the next piece.

  The Breastplate of Righteousness. This piece of armour's protection is 2 fold. It protects us from accusations of Satan. And it keeps you at peace with your fellow man. One thing you need to remember is that mankind is not your enemy, even those people who say they hate you. You are never, never to fight against fellow man. But one thing you are required to do for mankind if you want to be victorious in spiritual warfare is do good deeds for mankind.
Also part of your breastplate of righteousness is:
No lying.
Good speech.
Forgiveness.
Taking responsibility for your actions.
No stealing.
Basically put off your old man and all and unrighteousness, put on the new man and all righteousness(Ephesians 4:22-24, Colossians 3:9-10). The Breastplate of Righteousness.


  The next piece of armor is the gospel of peace shoes. What do you do with shoes? You wear them everywhere you walk. How do shoes protect or help you? Really good shoes like cleats keep you held firm in the ground so you can't get pushed back. The gospel of peace shoes are like cleats, they keep you held firm. You can put on the gospel of peace shoes by taking the gospel of peace everywhere you go. I think I heard it once, and I'll say it again myself "You can't sin with someone when you are preaching the gospel to them." That right there is the reason the gospel of peace shoes protect you.

Faith in God protects you like a shield. When hardship is coming your way you can hide behind your faith in God. That may sound cowardly, but it takes courage. It takes courage not to run away. And when you were hiding behind your shield remember that the fiery darts are not coming from God but the wicked.

 The helmet salvation is vital because the battle we are in is spiritual and many of the wars fought in this battle are in our head (not to say that they're not real). Satan loves to attack or minds. He wants to deceive us. Never forget the truth. God loves you. I don't necessarily know how to put the "helmet of salvation" on your head. And I do not know how to keep it there. But I do know that part of having you on your head is that you should never forget the truth that God loves you. And don't let any lies deceive you. Satan hates you.

 The sword of the spirit is your only weapon everything else is armor. But and as I have said before you should not use against mankind, but against Satan and his lies. Because the word of God is your sword of the spirit you need to read the Bible daily( I just used three different names for one thing in one sentence.).
Now we cannot forget prayer, can we. It is not listed as a piece of armor, but yet it is vital for our victory. do you know any army that can be victorious without communication with their leader? Remember pray without ceasing. If you do not know what prayer is, it is just a fancy word for communication with God, the king of kings, and Lord of host.
