We think about those things which we hear and see. So no matter how good our helmet of salvation is. If we are not protecting our ears and eyes the helmet of salvation won't do much good. Here are some great verses: And take the helmet of salvation.
I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid? Job 31:1 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way. Psalms 119:37 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. Psalms 101:3 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Proverbs 4:25 My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways. Proverbs 23:26 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Proverbs 2:2 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. Proverbs 28:9 Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge. Proverbs 23:12 A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue. Proverbs 17:4 Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge. Proverbs 22:17
