Handwash Feetwash I honestly don't have anything against dishwashers. But I was just wondering. Would Jesus use a dishwasher or would he wash dishes by hand? There is a part of me that thinks he would prefer to handwash dishes. But the truth of the matter is that he probably wouldn't necessarily have a preference. Jesus would just do the dishes. There is no record of Jesus washing dishes in the gospels, but it is most likely that he washed some. Jesus did talk about dishwashing. He was really against cleaning just the outside of a dish. One thing the Bible does say about Jesus is that he washed feet. I have heard it said that washing feet takes more humility than dishwashing. Let's read what Jesus had to say: "If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you." - John 13:14-15 Does Jesus really expect us to wash other people's feet? Feet washing is still something practiced in churches today. But the world has really changed since Jesus was on it. It's not that people's feet don't get dirty anymore. It just the way we clean our feet has changed. No longer do we have servants to wash our feet instead we wash our own feet, and I hope we wash our own feet regularly. But just because we don't wash feet the same way they did in Jesus's time doesnt mean that we can't follow his example. Can you think of anyway you can serve others? Getting back to the topic of dishwashing check out this quote: "I always think my wife will be most impressed when I buy her flowers. She does appreciate them and she likes them. But what she really seems to like is the times that I do the dishes. It may be that the most spiritual thing you may do today is to do the dishes. It could be a God thing." - Bill Tinsley (https://www.reporternews.com/story/life/faith/2017/05/05/did-jesus-do-dishes/101266148/) But washing dishes is not the only way you can serve others.
Here is a list of things you can do for others:
